About Us

Community Publication

We publish Vancouver On Ink, a seasonal community print publication featuring local stories, creative work, and wellness resources. Distributed across Vancouver, it offers large-print accessibility and a tangible way for people to stay connected offline.

Community Education

We design and lead hands-on workshops and seminars, from theatre-based sessions to the West Coast AI Seminar Series. Our programs have served youth, seniors, newcomers, and diverse community groups.

AI-Enhanced Projects

We prototype practical tools that use emerging technology to support real needs. This includes Squat Pro, an AI-guided posture training demo, and the Theatre Lab Workshop Planner, which integrated AI to help facilitators build clear, adaptable, community-focused workshops.

Theatre & Film

We create theatre, film, and storytelling projects that highlight real community experiences. Past work includes international devised performances, process documentaries, dance videos and local community shows that spark dialogue on identity, memory, and social change.

Story Behind

The wave forms a W, representing the West Coast, our home. Within it, Morse code spells CLS, short for Cultural Lab Society, and nods to digital culture, comment, like, share.

Morse code once connected people across oceans, just as we use creativity to reach, connect, and listen across time and identity.

Together, the wave and code form an octopus, a symbol of curiosity and adaptability. Like the octopus, we explore many forms, theatre, film, design, community print, and emerging technology, moving fluidly through ideas while staying true to purpose.

We are not still, like waves, we carry stories forward.
